Pet Portrait Commission

A hand-painted watercolour portrait of your pet, painted by me from your own photo.

I have been painting animals for years, and portraits of somebody's much loved pet are always my favourite. I try to catch not just how they look, but how they are: the tilt of the head, the cheeky look in the eye, the things their person knows so well. Some of the portraits that mean the most to me are of pets who are no longer here, and it is a quiet privilege to help someone hold onto a face they love.

Four portraits a month

I only take on four portraits a month, so each one gets the attention it deserves and never feels rushed. When this month's places are taken, this page will show as sold out and I will open the next month's. If you have missed out, do send me a message and I will let you know when the books open again.

How it works

1. Choose your size below and place your order.
2. I will email you to say hello and ask for your photos. A clear, well lit photo works best, and more than one is always helpful.
3. I paint your portrait by hand in watercolour, and send you a photo of it before it goes in the post.
4. Your original painting is carefully packaged and posted to you.

Sizes

• A4 (approximately 21 x 30 cm)
• A3 (approximately 30 x 42 cm)

Every portrait is an original painting on watercolour paper, so no two are ever quite the same. Unframed, so you can choose a frame you love.
